I know this is old thread but I found easier way to fix this problem: Run task manager, select "Applications" tab, right click on "Crash Bandicoot" and select "Maximize". You can now change options. Also ALT+TAB should work until now. Tested on Windows 7 < >
Yes. There's an auto save slot (that you can disable), and three regular slots per game. I'm legitimately surprised, I thought they would follow the norm nowadays where you only get one slot. Good for them on pleasing the fans! I'm going to disable autosave, keep it old school! If only there was password support
And third reason - bugged some settings. In case if you have not enough powerful PC (for recommended sys. req. check Activision support site) and you set some settings to low - you must do it only for resolution, antialisng, and shadows. And if you want you can turn off motion blur (it not so good, but not decrease FPS so much).
NTSC also had lower resolution (480p vs 576p). This is why some elements have more height with NTSC, like in this video. However, PAL mostly had a small letterbox (black bars on top and bottom) in game, because (I think) it used the NTSC resolution centered.
Saw this title was verified and running into a issue where it won't launch I've tried with default setting and with compatibility versions GE-Proton7-29, Proton Experimental, Proton 7.0-4, 6.3-8, 5.13-6 and 5.0-10 Same result every time. Right after the steam logo start spinning back to the steam deck game window. Tried in desktop mode, and it would crash straight back to the desktop every time
