I've owned both and I definitely miss having the 6D II. There's a great comparison video by Jamie Windsor on YouTube. Essentially the only advantages to the 5D are 1) dual card slot, 2) silent shooting mode and 3) Magic Lantern.

Speaking of flash, the R8 has a maximum sync of 1/200s, whereas the R6 II is slightly faster at 1/250s.
